In the Beauce

This summer, I went in Beauce with my friend for a week. We had a week only with horses. We cleaned them, and we had some hikes and aerobatics. We went to the rodeo St-Victor and we laughed with our new friends.
Some incidents:
  • ·         Cindy : falling off of Chanel (aerobatics);
  • ·         Eli, Jade and I : Put  an old bike helmet and go in a long hike;
  • ·       Me:  Ill and blind horse = Do the hike afoot;
  • ·         Me: Having a heat stroke and drink a Gatorade with a bad taste;
  • ·         Eli : Eating golden toast with mayonnaise;
  • ·         Me:  be crushed by a horse and having a purple foot;
  • ·       Eli, Cindy, Ludo, Will and I: Take three hours to clean the stable due to a battle of straw
  •       And more…!

      This trip was memorable !

The vision

This week my topic is the vision.
To start, the horses only see yellow, red, orange and green. To see clearly, be calm and feel safe, it must have a freedom of movement (of the head and neck). If the horse feels too tight, it may be panic, be uncooperative and even aggressive.
For a clear picture, the horses must move the head until a ray of light comes perpendicular to the retina… It has a large visual field, it is almost a full circle, but if you arrive directly behind them, they will don’t see you and will be afraid if you arrive without warning.
